Coed Felinrhyd and Llennyrch (10 minutes) Ancient Woodland Walk near Maentwrog.
Can be steep and boggy in places, waterfalls and pools. Several circular routes of various lengths.

in Garreg, Llanfrothen was the family home of Clough Williams-Ellis, creator of the Italianate village Portmeirion. The gardens, enclosed by yew hedges and open lawns, linked by carefully planned vistas. Plenty of Parking. Good Cafe/Gift Shop not buggy friendly.

Cwm Idwal nature reserve (50mins)
Walk, not for buggy

Barmouth (can go on train from Harlech... nice trip along coast. About 25 mins)
Seaside town.

Cwm Bychan (Roman Steps Walk) (24mins)
Walk, not for buggy. This lake lies at the base of the Rhinog Mountains not far from Salem Chapel. There is a parking area, where you can either take a stroll alongside the lake or take a hike up the old roman steps into the Rhinogs.

Coed y Brenin National Park (37mins)
Walking & cycling routes including family/novice/buggy routes. Can hire bikes but not with baby seats/attachments. Has a children's play area.

Llandanwg (8 minutes)
A tiny village on the coast (south of Harlech) with a fascinating church - link 1 church - link 2 hiding amongst the sand dunes. The great beach is only a stones throw away from the car park and café. Tranquil and an easy, convenient place for dog walking.

North Wales Wildlife Trust (10 mins)
A fantastic example of a place where wildlife can thrive in a post-industrial setting. Gwaith Powdwr was once the biggest explosives works in Europe. The reserve offers fabulous views of Snowdonia and the Dwyryd Estuary, and the many paths throughout the site offer excellent access. Post Code: LL48 6LY Map reference SH 621 389

Just outside the village of Llanbedr (south of Harlech) heading towards the Rhinog Mountains is ‘Salem Chapel’. A small picturesque chapel where the famous painting of a Welsh Lady Sian Owen was captured in her welsh shawl. Its situated in a peaceful location and was built in 1826.
